MINGO builds high-performance electric surfboards – MINGO Boards – that propels the rider up to speeds over 50 kph in mere seconds. The speed is controlled by a wireless hand controller remotely connected to the MINGO Boards. You steer by simply shifting your balance, just like on a regular surfboard.

Mingo's electric surfboards are designed with one key factor in mind: Adrenaline. The 11 kW brushless electric motor amply delivers the torque necessary to propel the rider to speeds of up to 35 mph in mere seconds. A precision-machined impeller and housing parts ensure maximized efficiency and awe-inspiring acceleration.

Material choices

We know our boards are going to take a pounding from chop, waves, and aggressive handling. That’s why the board hulls are made of composite materials like Carbon Fiber and Kevlar (That’s right, the stuff they use in bulletproof vests) to ensure the lightest, stiffest, most durable construction possible. The battery pack and drivetrain also feature high-grade anodized aluminum, and lightweight plastics to ensure Awake boards are tough enough for anything you and the elements can throw at them.

Do you know what the most essential ingredient for an exhilarating, high-performance water-based experience is? Safety. That's why we've built a state-of-the-art automotive standard safety system, including sensors that continuously monitor temperature, power consumption, system abnormalities, and the board's physical orientation, all water-sealed for peace-of-mind.

Functional features

The deck pad is designed for stability and support. The performance foot straps have heel and toe support for maximum grip and comfort, and the rear deck pad shape also supports your knees when transitioning from lying down to a standing position before you accelerate away into the distance. The two handles make carrying and transportation easy, and with a simple press of your thumb, the wireless, 'dynamite grip' hand controller responds instantly.

What happens after I place my order?

You will receive an order confirmation to the email address stated at checkout. An account manager will reach out to you within 24h.

What is included with each board?

Everything you need to get going: Board, battery, wireless remote, chargers, fins, and a magnetic power key to activate your board and to charge the batteries.

How does the 12-month warranty work?

If for some reason your board is malfunctioning, Mingo will do a remote analysis of the board and conclude whether it is subject to the 1-year warranty. If a module needs to be serviced, we will take care of the freight and handling.

How do I learn to ride the boards?

Most riders stand up comfortably in one to two rides. A pro tip is to start at a lower power mode and get comfortable with the sensitivity of the throttle.

How do I clean my board?

You simply rinse the board and the batteries with fresh water after the ride. For cosmetic reasons, this is advised when riding in salty waters.

Can you order a quick-charger?

We only offer one charger which is developed to be the quickest possible for all of our battery models.
